New Audiobook Release: My Favorite Uncle – An LGBTQ Comedy that Resonates

🎉 One year ago, I ventured into audiobook narration, and now I’m thrilled to share my latest project: My Favorite Uncle, a novel by Marshall Thornton. This story weaves humor and heart as a middle-aged uncle steps up to be a haven for his nephew, a young man navigating his identity after feeling rejected by his deeply conservative family.

This LGBTQ story touched me personally, as it reminded me of my own experiences—and those of many friends—who, in the 70s and 80s, bravely came out despite the risk of losing family ties. Like the characters in My Favorite Uncle, we found family among those who accepted us unconditionally.

Narrating this story has strengthened my passion for works that champion love and self-acceptance, and I hope listeners find as much warmth and joy in it as I did. Available now on Audible.

I’m particularly drawn to Marshall Thornton’s brilliant storytelling, and it was a joy bringing My Favorite Uncle to life. I’m thrilled to share that he’s invited me to narrate two more of his books next year: Fathers of the Bride and Sentenced to Christmas. In the meantime, I’m wrapping up The Cul-de-Sac, an Appalachian gothic murder mystery that lets me bring my Kentucky roots to life!

If My Favorite Uncle sounds like a story for you, I’d love for you to check it out—it’s a delightful, laughter-filled read with a lot of heart. ❤️ **DM if you’re a reviewer and I’ll give you a free audio code.
