Some narrators will read your story, but Dana will tell your story...
"Dana P. Rowe understands that a great audiobook is the result of a dialogue between writer and narrator. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. Efficient, punctual, and conscientious, he will collaborate with you to bring your book to life with care for your words and characters. Some narrators will read your story, but Dana will tell your story, and I look forward to working with him again."
~ Stefanie Van Steelandt, Author of Lady of the Army: The Life of Mrs. George S. Patton

Dana is a multiple Olivier Award nominee with over three decades of professional experience in theatre, opera, audio production, and music. A long-time Actors' Equity Association member, he has performed in, directed, musically directed, and produced hundreds of theatre productions and commercial recording sessions, ranging from audiobooks and jingles to original cast recordings. He has also collaborated on documentary films included on NBC’s Best LGBTQ-inclusive TV Shows and Films list, alongside Pose, Schitt’s Creek, Euphoria, Pain & Glory, and many other notable works.
Born in the moonshine-friendly hills of Appalachia and raised in the jello-loving heart of the Midwest, Dana's childhood memories and the colorful cast of characters he encountered are a constant source of inspiration for his work. Having come of age and come out during the wild dance and party scenes of New York City in the late 70s, Dana experienced the allure, thrill, and heartbreak of that era, including the devastating impact of the AIDS epidemic. As a proud father and co-grandpa with his husband Andrew, he brings warmth, authenticity, and a touch of delightful mischief to his storytelling, with a deep understanding of life's darker sides, devastating loss, and the triumph of recovery.
Dana's literary preferences span a wide spectrum, from biography and memoir to LGBTQ fiction and nonfiction, addiction and recovery narratives, and both adult and young adult comedy and fantasy.
His storytelling is further enriched by his experience as an author and award-winning composer of musicals, along with the diverse accents and dynamic personalities he’s encountered through his international work, language skills from his opera training, and role as an executive coach for leaders from Amazon, Columbia University, Disney, Eastman School of Music, Sony, Forbes, and Lincoln Center Education.
